The BBQ Ranch Raspberry Chipotle BBQ Sauce

What it is

The BBQ Ranch is the work of Jolanda and Vera from the Netherlands, who came over to compete in Estonia a couple of years back. Their journey took a serious turn in 2025, when things started going very well indeed on the competition circuit — well enough to bring the European championship title home, along with a new European points record. To cap off a remarkable season, they finished second in the KCBS global rib rankings. That was apparently the moment the two decided the rest of the world deserved a taste, so they made their sauces and rub available to everyone. They also share recipes quite generously, showing you exactly how to use them. This one is the classic that belongs in every lineup — sweet and spicy raspberry chipotle.

This is genuinely good stuff. In Ardo’s view it is the jewel of their range: a perfectly balanced sauce where the sweet berry character and the gentle heat sit in exactly the right relationship to each other. Superb sauce.

It is well worth using this sauce when you wrap your meat in foil — you will pull a beautifully balanced result out at the end.
