Do you know Malcolm Reed? He is arguably the most famous BBQ man on YouTube and one of the faces behind the Killer Hogs BBQ team. Killer Hogs have been making rubs and sauces for a very long time, and they remain a staple in many competition teams’ kits. Hot Sauce is, as the name suggests, hot — not in the sense of the bottle sitting on a warm shelf, but in the sense of what happens in your mouth afterwards. That said, it is not as brutal as you might fear: peppers and garlic have been added to a paprika purée base to make something genuinely flavourful that you can actually take a proper mouthful of without setting your face on fire.
