What it is

Angus & Oink Zhoug is a rub inspired by Middle Eastern cuisine and the traditional Zhoug flavour profile. It brings together the bold aroma of cardamom and coriander with a green, herby freshness, rounded off by a gentle chilli heat.

This is a blend where the emphasis is not on heaviness but on freshness and fragrance. The flavour moves lightly but stays with you. The herby, green character keeps things clean, while the spiced nuance gives it the energy it needs.

Zhoug works brilliantly on chicken, seafood and flatbreads, but is equally at home building sauces and dressings. Mix it with olive oil and lemon into a paste, or stir it through yoghurt to create an aromatic, fresh marinade.
