What it is

Grate Goods Alabama White BBQ Sauce is a creamy, lightly tangy white BBQ sauce based on the classic grilling sauce style of Alabama. Grate Goods drew inspiration for the sauce from a trip to Alabama and the legendary white sauce tradition of Big Bob Gibson Bar-B-Q, which began in 1925 in the Huntsville area. The Grate Goods version is less sharp than the original Alabama sauce, with a balanced, fresh and peppery flavour. Grate Goods Alabama White BBQ Sauce pairs particularly well with grilled and smoked chicken, but can also be served alongside pork, fish, vegetables and burgers. The white BBQ sauce works as a dipping sauce, inside a burger or grilled sandwich, and as a coleslaw dressing. Grate Goods Alabama White BBQ Sauce also works in place of crème fraîche as a finishing touch on Flammkuchen.

GRILLY comments

We would reach for this first alongside smoked chicken or crispy chicken wings. The sauce is fresh and tangier than a classic sweet BBQ sauce, so it cuts nicely through chicken skin and fattier meat. It also works very well stirred into coleslaw, especially alongside a pulled pork burger.
