What it is

Southern Dutch Season It All is an all-purpose BBQ rub suited to meat, poultry, potatoes and vegetables. Southern Dutch BBQ is one of Europe’s most successful competition BBQ teams, and their rubs have helped win dozens of awards across Europe and the United States. Season It All was previously known as This Is It, and the producer considers it their definitive all-purpose rub. It gives meat a balanced flavour and a beautiful mahogany-brown colour as it cooks. Season It All works on chicken, pork, ribs, burgers, beef, potatoes and grilled vegetables, and can be used on the grill, in the oven or for low and slow smoking. At the 2023 American Royal Rub Contest, Season It All received one of only four perfect scores from 333 entries and finished second in its category.

GRILLY comments

We reach for Season It All when the grill is loaded with chicken, pork and a pile of vegetables at the same time and opening a separate jar for each thing is the last thing you want to do. It works particularly well on chicken thighs, ribs and roast potatoes, because on top of the flavour, the rub develops a really attractive colour as it cooks. It is a straightforward, reliable choice — but that competition result makes clear this is no ordinary all-purpose rub.
