What it is

SunCity Pepper Beef Grill Rub is a boldly peppery, salty and lightly sweet BBQ rub for grilling beef. SunCity BBQ is a Hungarian competition BBQ team led by Iván Nagy, a KCBS-certified pitmaster and judge whose team finished fourth in the KCBS European rankings in 2019. SunCity Pepper Beef Grill Rub has a coarser texture and gives beef a distinctly peppery bark without pushing the flavour of the meat itself into the background. This rub works particularly well on ribeye steaks, entrecôte, sirloin, picanha, beef burgers and other cuts suited to hot and fast grilling. The rub can be used dry or mixed with a little oil to make a marinade. SunCity Pepper Beef Grill Rub is suitable for cooking on a grill grate, plancha or cast-iron pan.

We’d reach for this first on a proper ribeye steak or burger patty. There’s plenty of pepper here, so you don’t need to pile on a thick layer. That kind of bold flavour works especially well alongside fattier cuts of beef.
