What it is

Champions Blend is one of Blues Hog’s newer releases. With it, Blues Hog chased the competition-barbecue flavour that everyone had been mixing themselves. This handcrafted sauce aims at three essentials: sweet heat, light smoke and zing.

GRILLY comments

This sauce gives the impression that you no longer need to mix Original and Tennessee Red — though that is not quite true. Champions Blend is a thing of its own: on the sweeter side, with a gentle glow of heat. Every one of us keeps this one in the fridge to pour, lazily and indiscriminately, over absolutely everything.

Pro tip

Champions Blend is superb for wrapping ribs and for glazing afterwards.
