What it is

Lambert’s Sweet Rub O’ Mine Roasted Garlic is a BBQ rub with a strong roasted garlic and peppery character that finishes in a balanced way. The rub was created as a last-minute solution that helped earn a prize-winning place in the brisket category at the prestigious American Royal World Series of Barbecue. Sweet Rub O’ Mine founder Mark Lambert won the Memphis in May competition in 2009 and 2013, and became world champion in the pork shoulder category in 2005, 2008, 2009 and 2013. Lambert’s Sweet Rub O’ Mine Roasted Garlic works on brisket, steaks, pork, chicken and fish. The rub can be used as a dry rub for both hot and fast grilling and low and slow smoking. The bold garlic and pepper flavour makes it a strong choice for beef, but the rub is versatile enough to season poultry, fish and pork as well.

GRILLY comments

We would reach for this one first on brisket, beef ribs or a proper steak. There is plenty of garlic and pepper here, so it suits the griller who wants a strong, clearly defined flavour on the meat. With fish and chicken, we would go with a thinner coat so the rub does not completely overpower the natural flavour of the ingredient.
