Turnpike Prime Churrasco Seasoning is a churrasco-style BBQ seasoning for grilling meat and achieving a strong, authentic grill flavour. Turnpike Barbecue grew out of a passion for outdoor cooking and operated as a BBQ competition team before moving into product development. The brand develops rubs, sauces and grilling accessories in the Netherlands, designed for use both on the grill and in the kitchen. Turnpike Prime Churrasco Seasoning is particularly well suited to beef, steaks and skewered cuts. You can use it as a dry rub before grilling or mix it with a little oil to make a marinade. The large format is a good fit for frequent grillers, caterers and professional use.

We’d reach for this one first on picanha, entrecôte or beef skewers. With churrasco you don’t want to bury the flavour of the meat under ten different layers, so apply the rub evenly but with a measured hand. High heat, a proper sear and a few minutes of rest after cooking — there’s really not much more to think about.

Pro tip

Season the meat 30 to 60 minutes before grilling and cook it over high direct heat. With a larger cut, slice thinly against the grain after resting to keep things tender.
